Rules for Table-Tennis
Each match will be played with below rules
Scoring and Games
- Games are played to 11 points
- Players serve two serves each, alternating.
- If a game ties at 10-10, a player must win by 2 points.
In this situation, players serve one serve each, alternating - Best of 3 (first to win 2 games)
Miscellaneous Rules
- To serve, you must throw the ball up straight, from a flat palm, at least 6 inches (16cm)
- Your toss and service contact must be behind the table surface (not over)
- You cannot hide the ball from the ball toss to contact, with any part of your body
- If the ball hits the net during service, it is a let, the point is replayed. There is no limit or point deductions for let serves.
- If the ball hits opposite side's horizontal edge of the table, it's valid play.
Rules for Carrom
Each match will be played with below rules
Scoring and Games
- Best of 8 Boards or 25 Points - whichever occurs first, player(s) with higher points wins the game
- Queen (or Red) can be pocketed any time, but, must be followed by pocketing your own coin
- Once the Queen is covered, whoever clears their coins first wins the 'board'
- Winner gets 3 Points for Queen (only if you pocketed), and 1 Point for each opponent's coin left on the board
- Points for Queen CANNOT be counted after your score reaches 22-points
Miscellaneous Rules
- Disco/Dancing Carrom Powder NOT ALLOWED
- Moving your chair after the board is broken is NOT ALLOWED. However, you can adjust your seating without moving your chair at any time
- While playing your turn, you CANNOT stand, and/or take support of another chair/table/etc.
- While making a stroke, the elbow of the playing ‘hand’ shall not come within the playing surface nor shall extend beyond the imaginary lines of the arrow.
- Striker should be standard size, must not be bigger than pocket size
- Players break the board in alternating turn, starting with the player who wins toss
- Player who breaks the board plays white
- Sinking the striker costs you one coin and your turn. But, if you sink a coin in the same shot, then two come up and you shoot again.
- After sinking the striker, your opponent places the due coin(s) within the center circle. If you haven't sunk one yet, you owe one.
- If while shooting for the queen you also sink one of your coins, the queen is automatically covered, no matter which went first.
- If a coin jumps off the board, it is placed on the center spot. If coin lands on edge or are overlapping, they are left that way.
- If the center spot is partially covered when replacing the queen or a jumped coin, the coin should cover as much red as possible. If totally covered, the coin is placed opposite the next player behind the red spot.
- If you sink your opponent's coin, you lose your turn. If you sink their last coin, you lose the board and three points.
- If you sink your last piece before the queen, you lose the board, three points and one point for each of your opponent's coins left.
- If the striker does not leave both lines, go again. You get three tries to break before losing your turn
